Spider Solitaire Game Modes

1 Suit Spider (Beginner)

Great for learning the basics. Uses only Spades, so you can focus on strategy without worrying about suit matching. Perfect for a quick game during your Tim Hortons break.

2 Suit Spider (Intermediate)

Steps up the challenge with Spades and Hearts. You can stack different suits, but can only move same-suit sequences together. This is where real strategy kicks in.

4 Suit Spider (Expert)

How to Play Spider Solitaire

Objective

Build eight complete sequences from King down to Ace, all in the same suit. Complete sequences are automatically removed from the board. Clear everything to win!

Basic Rules

  • Uses two decks (104 cards) dealt into 10 columns
  • Stack cards in descending order (any suit)
  • Only same-suit sequences can be moved together
  • Deal new rows from the stock when needed
  • Empty columns can hold any card or sequence

Tips for Canadian Players

  • Create empty columns: They're gold for reorganizing your cards
  • Build in suit: Mixed-suit stacks can't move together
  • Reveal hidden cards: The more you can see, the better you can plan
  • Don't rush the deal: Use all your moves before dealing new cards
