How to Play Spider Patience

Objective

Build eight complete sequences from King down to Ace, all in the same suit. Completed sequences are automatically removed. Clear the entire board to win!

Basic Rules

  • Uses two packs of cards (104 cards) dealt into 10 columns
  • Stack cards in descending order (any suit)
  • Only same-suit sequences can be moved together
  • Deal new rows from the stock when needed
  • Empty columns can hold any card or sequence

Tips for British Players

  • Create empty columns: Essential for reorganising your cards
  • Build in suit: Mixed-suit stacks look tidy but cannot move together
  • Reveal hidden cards: The more you can see, the better your planning
  • Don't rush the deal: Exhaust all moves before dealing new cards
