Spider Solitaire Difficulty Levels

Our Spider Solitaire offers three distinct difficulty modes to suit players of all skill levels. You can easily switch between modes using the difficulty selector above the game board.

One Suit Spider (Beginner)

In One Suit mode, all cards are dealt as spades, making sequence building straightforward. This is perfect for learning the game mechanics and developing your strategy without the complexity of multiple suits.

Two Suits Spider (Intermediate)

Two Suits mode uses spades and hearts, adding a moderate challenge. You'll need to pay attention to suit matching while building sequences, requiring more strategic thinking than One Suit mode.

Four Suits Spider (Expert)

Four Suits is the classic and most challenging Spider Solitaire experience. Using all four suits, this mode demands careful planning, as you can only build complete sequences with cards of the same suit. Only the most skilled players master this difficulty!

Rules of Spider Solitaire

Initial Setup

Spider Solitaire is played with two standard decks (104 cards). Cards are dealt into ten tableau columns: the first four columns have 6 cards each (5 face down, 1 face up), and the remaining six columns have 5 cards each (4 face down, 1 face up). The remaining 50 cards form the stock pile.

Building Sequences

Build sequences in descending order (King to Ace) within the tableau columns. You can move cards regardless of suit, but only complete same-suit sequences from King to Ace will automatically move to the foundation. Empty columns can be filled with any card or sequence.

Using the Stock

When you can't make any more moves, deal one card from the stock to each of the ten tableau columns. You must fill all empty columns before dealing from the stock.
